About SmallTownUSA
Karmen and Jessica are both directors at a non-profit that helps people with disabilities with housing and employment services. They are each from a small town, and they found themselves having conversations about the things only people from a small town can understand. The duo set off to create SmallTownUSA shortly after the inception of 19 Media Group in 2021. Join them as they share in their passion for small towns, the people that make them unique places, and the history that keeps the location interesting. You can catch SmallTownUSA biweekly wherever you find podcasts.
Jessica Winchester
Jessica Winchester is the co-host and producer of SmallTownUSA and A Prude Awakening, two podcasts that layer in comedy, history, travel, education, and culture. Jessica is also the founder of a non-profit youth arts organization, WONDER&WANDER, focused on exposing youth to all forms of art, including media art and podcasting. When there is spare time she can be found binging tv shows on her phone in her closet with the lights off, where no-one in her family can find her.
Karmen McDonald
Karmen is co-host of the bi weekly podcasts SmalltownUSA and A Prude Awakening. She is a native Alaskan but has lived in and traveled to many states throughout the US. Karmen is a lover of all things funny and weird. When she is not uncovering the strange and odd, you can usually find her jamming to old school Motown and enjoying the company of her beloved pups!
